Sophos – Your computer is at risk

There appears to have been a recent update to either Sophos Anti-Virus or macOS which has upset a few Apple computers and placed Sophos in an “At Risk” state.

In order to “fix” this issue you need to give Sophos Full Disk Access so that it can scan your computer for any nasty files which you may have downloaded. 🙂

  1. Open Endpoint Self Help...
  2. Go to Prerequisites tab on the left
  3. Click blue button labelled Allow Full Disk Access
  4. This will open a Sophos Endpoint dialogue box and follow the instructions
    1. Open Privacy & Security preferences
      1. You can simply click the blue text and it will open the Privacy & Security preferences for you
      2. reposition the Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access panel so you can see both it and the Sophos Endpoint instructions
    2. Drag and drop the Sophos icon to the application list for Full Disk Access panel
    3. You will then get prompted for the Administrator password for your computer
  5. In order for the Full Disk Access to be accepted you will need to Quit & Reopen Sophos.

Below is a screenshot showing a visual of the process detailed above.
