Welcome to IT Support at Queen’s College, Oxford

Every college in Oxford has an IT Office – Queen’s is no exception. We look after all ICT equipment within College and can offer help and advice on IT matters. If you have any problems or queries regarding your computer whilst at Queen’s then just drop us an email or give us a call. We can also arrange a Microsoft Teams chat or a physical meetup. We will do our best to try and help.

When you first get to Oxford you are bombarded with information so to help with the IT side of things you can use this page as a checklist so you don’t forget anything.

1. Oxford User Accounts – you can activate these accounts BEFORE getting to Oxford.

  1. OXFORD Single Sign-On (SSO) – used for email, College fee and top-up payments, VPN and online web services
    1. When you activate your OXFORD SSO account you will be prompted to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). It is recommended to setup at least two MFA methods – we suggest the Microsoft Authenticator app and SMS.

You will not be able to access all of the features in Student Self Service until your University registration is complete (for instance – overseas students you will not be able to get an Enrolment Certificate for opening a UK bank account until registration is complete!).
