We have had a few enquiries from students who have noticed that their web browser is apparently managed by their organisation.
I sent a couple of screenshots to the Nexus Administrators who look after the University’s Microsoft tenancy. They say that “managed by my organisation” in the screenshots related to users syncing their OneDrive or SharePoint sites to their computer. Users can delete the policy but obviously any sync operations in OneDrive / SharePoint will stop working.
In a nutshell, the banner appeared because a policy exists, and does not necessarily relate to wider system control.
