How many online meetings have you attended and heard barking in the background when someone’s Amazon delivery comes to the door? Or maybe the rumble of passing trains or slamming doors by locked-down teenagers?
Well, this could be a thing of the past, now that Microsoft has added noise suppression to Microsoft Teams.
The new feature suppressions any loud sounds which are not human speech. By default, the feature is set to “Auto”, but I have found that this doesn’t seem to do very much. Setting Noise Suppression to HIGH muffles loud sudden noises and eliminates colleagues typing loudly in the background.
Give it a go – flick noise suppression to high and then try clapping loudly in your next online meet up and see if anyone notices. 🙂
Go to Settings > Devices > Noise Suppression > set to High
