Phishing Attacks are a daily occurrence and you probably have several in your email inbox at the moment.
Oxford University has seen a rise in these attacks over the last week or so.
Please be very wary of any emails that ask you to provide your username, passwords or any other personal information.
The IT Office does not send out specific warnings to staff and students about Phishing attempts because we have found it counter-productive. It is better if you use your own judgement and common sense to work out whether an email is genuine or not. Of course if you have any concerns then please do get in touch.
I think it best if you have a read of our blog post of 6 December 2011 which gives advice on what to do if you find a phishing email in your inbox.
