Nexus365 Outlook login loop

September 19, 2019 David Olds

Taking you to your organisation’s sign-in page

If you get this looping message when logging into Nexus365 then you need to contact IT Services Service Desk and ask them to check your Active Directory record. The fix should be immediate so the sooner you call the Service Desk the better – (01865 6) 12345.

But why has this happened?
We have noticed that the above message loop happens when people have been away from Oxford for a period of time (eg suspended course for medical reasons, or worked at another University for a year or so). As they have “left” Oxford then their OXFORD SSO account is de-activated and closed.  When the person returns to Oxford the account is re-opened, but on a very few occasions the Active Directory (AD) element of the account doesn’t get activated.  Users will find that they can login to WebLearn fine, but get the above error message when connecting to Outlook Web Access (OWA).
Simply contact IT Services Service Desk and ask them to check your AD record.
